One of the few places that makes Kirksville enjoyable. Good food, good specials. This place probably has the best salsa from any of the Mexican restaurants I've tried!

Carnitas, my go to, and I found them to be as succulent, well flavored and cooked as you could expect., in fact I would recommend them to you. Beyond that high point, this is your typical Mexican place, with various combo meals served with refried beans and rice. The margaritas were not generous of pour and thus truly disappointing.

Ordered off menu camarones el diablo. This is a dish I eat all over the United States. It is hands down up there with the top 3.

There's only three things you need to know about La Pachanga: 1) It's damn cheap if you're trying to ball on a budget (Full order of chicken nachos is only $6+ dollars = Leftovers for days) 2) The queso (or whatever you choose to call their liquid cheese from the gods) is A1 3) Food and service (on a good day) is hella quick.
BAM.
But on the real though, La Pachanga is a quality Mexican restaurant and probably one of the better ones I've eaten in Missouri (and I've been to St. Louis staples like El Mag's and Mi Ran). I've tried their Pollo con queso, Chicken Nachos, Burrito Pachanga, Enchiladas and more. I have never been disappointed in a meal here. Is it authentic to the dime? No. But, to be honest, were you really gonna find that in Kirksville? Quality meals, nice, quaint atmosphere, good margs. You won't regret it. -

While vIsiting Truman State, we drove around Kirksville. Not much happening, but we found yummy Mexican food. We were really happy with the service and food. Large servings.
